Dinner at the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville is our favorite tradition.
When I have a treat in my hand Sandy snaps to attention and gets really serious.
Brian rocks his new suit. This is picture that inspired me to start the South Beach Diet.
This is our neighbors house. They do all this work and have to look at our house with zip for decorations.
I made this Gingerbread Dog house for our Vet Office.
Joining us this year were our long time friends, Josh, CJ and Steve.

The fall retreat held at A Touch of Glass in Asheville NC, called Hot Times on the Mountain, was a blast as usual. Around 30 of us Lampwork Artist met for three days. There were classes, auctions, raffles, gift bags, garage sale and my favorite the bead swap. This is where I get to take home other artists work. Since some of the people attending are quite accomplished this is a great way to plagiarize I mean get inspired by their work. It was awesome....
I spent as much time shooting as I did torching.
Debbie was a great new friend.
Lysa is almost as sic as I am.
Diane's beads blow my mind. I bought two last spring.
Here's Diane pulling a killer twisti.
Shae, Lysa, Kat, and Marina bead buds.
Unloading the days bootie from the kiln

Wilma My Other Dog
I think the best word to best describe Wilma would be, loyal. She loved her family and was the happiest when she was following one of the seven kids around. At age 16 she passed. She tolerated many babies loving on her and snuck bits of food from their unsuspecting hands. She always squealed with delight when I came to visit, mostly because I always brought her a treat in my luggage. This gentile and sweet creature will be missed by her family and set the bar high for companionship. It won't be the same without her sweet face welcoming me. I know her family is crushed but will see her again.

It's the first day of July and Mom Robin has been guarding her nest for a few days. I snuck a peek and found 3 little ones. The nest is in a hard place to photograph so the photos are not the best quality. Still it is
pretty exciting to have a second batch of babies.
